歌曲的背景大致上可猜出是樁命案 我個人的見解是歌曲主角和Emily是同夥

兩個人或許是被一個小女孩目擊犯罪現場 逼不得已只好殺了小女孩封口

呼應Sometimes you do things you need to do to survive

但殺了人後兩個人感到後悔 為了不連累主角所以Emily選擇離開

可是主角並不希望她承攬所有的罪責 因此不斷請求她回來共同面對

歌詞的斷句分配很有意思 開頭紅字部分可能為Emily的視角

因此我猜測開槍的人應該是Emily

最後是Gerard在錄音室裡和其他人的對話 聽起來是相當滿意這首歌曲
